Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the Newsora mobile application ("Newsora", "the app", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use it. Newsora is developed and operated by Noor Alam Abir, an individual developer based in Bangladesh, who acts as the data controller for the limited processing described below.
In short: we do not require an account and we do not collect any personal information ourselves. The only data collected through the app is collected by our advertising partner, Google AdMob, as described in Section 4.
1. No signup or login required
Newsora does not require you to create an account, sign up, or log in. You can use the app immediately after installation without providing any personal information.
2. Information we do not collect
We do not ask for, collect, store, or share your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, or any other information that personally identifies you. We do not maintain user profiles and we have no servers that store your personal data.
3. Information stored locally on your device
Your in-app preferences — such as your country selection, language, and theme — are stored locally on your device only. This information stays on your device, is never transmitted to us or any third party, and is removed if you clear the app's data or uninstall the app.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
Newsora displays advertisements through Google AdMob, a Google service. To serve ads, AdMob may collect and process certain information from your device, including your advertising identifier (Advertising ID), device and other identifiers, IP address (from which an approximate, city-level location may be inferred), and basic device and ad-interaction information. AdMob may use this data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, to measure ad performance, and to prevent fraud. This data is collected by and shared with Google as an independent controller; Newsora does not receive or store it.
You can control or limit ad personalization at any time:
- On Android, open Settings → Privacy → Ads to reset or delete your Advertising ID and opt out of ad personalization.
- Manage Google ad settings at adssettings.google.com.
For details on how Google uses data, see Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
5. No analytics or tracking by us
Newsora does not include any analytics, advertising-attribution, or crash-reporting SDKs operated by us, and we do not track your usage or behavior within the app. The only third-party service integrated into the app is Google AdMob, described above.
6. Summary of data practices
For transparency, and to match the information shown on the Google Play Data safety section:
- Data collected by us: none.
- Data collected and shared through AdMob: device or other identifiers (including the Advertising ID) and approximate location inferred from IP address, used for advertising.
- Data stored only on your device: your app preferences (country, language, theme).
7. External links and in-app WebView
News articles within the app open in an in-app WebView. When you view an article, you are loading content directly from the publisher's website. Those websites have their own privacy practices and may collect data independently. Newsora does not control these websites and does not share your data with them.
8. Children's privacy
Newsora is intended for users who are 13 years of age or older and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app in a way that involved personal data, please contact us and we will take appropriate action. Where required, ads shown to users under the age of consent in their region are limited to non-personalized ads.
9. Your privacy rights
Because we do not collect or store your personal information, we generally do not hold any data about you to access, correct, or delete. Any information processed for ads is handled by Google; you can exercise choices over that data through the device and Google ad settings described in Section 4.
EEA/UK (GDPR): If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent for personalized ads. Where consent is required for personalized advertising, you will be asked for it within the app, and you can change your choice at any time through your device's ad settings.
California (CCPA/CPRA): We do not sell your personal information for money. The sharing of advertising identifiers with our advertising partner to deliver personalized ads may be considered "sharing" or a "sale" under California law. You can opt out by disabling ad personalization in your device settings as described in Section 4.
10. International data transfers
Google may process the advertising data described above on servers located in countries other than your own, including the United States. Such transfers are carried out under Google's own safeguards and privacy commitments.
11. Data security
We do not operate servers that store your personal data. Preferences kept on your device are protected by your device's own security. While no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, we limit risk by not collecting personal information.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Significant changes may also be communicated within the app.
